Acorns, grass and the oak - what you can learn from them

Learn from the grass, the acorn and the oak, say Tagore, Tayyiba Iram and Susan McKenzie

TAGORE SAYS:
“TINY grass! your steps are small, but you possess the Earth under your Tread.”

“The grass seeks her crowd in the earth. The tree seeks his solitude of the sky.”  (Translation from Bengali provided by Gautam Gangopadhyay)

TAYYIBA IRAM SAYS:
Have an awesome day shining friends. Yes All the Power is within You. Unleash It. All the Best ★•●•●☆

SUSAN MCKENZIE SAYS:
WE HAVE TO START SOMEWHERE, says my uncle (Roger Rossi). The small acorn is the start of something big, so do get started and remember that wherever you are is a good starting point.

BOUNTY OF NATURE BLESSING

Margall Hills National Park, overflowing with the bounty of nature

B: Bountiful lessons are learnt from nature, from the grass that is so tiny yet possesses the mighty earth under foot to the small acorns that grow into mighty oak trees.

L: Lessons we learn when we observe the relentless growth of nature, from things that are small but widespread (grass) to things that are small but transform into lasting structures, such as mighty oaks.

E: Earth is blessed with the wonders of nature and we are also part of the wonders of nature.

S: Spurts of growth express the wonders of life, and just as grass and oaks have spurts of growth so can we. Spur on your growth and become as strong as a mighty oak yet as lush and verdant as dewy grass.

S: Symbols teach us the greatest of lessons: see that oak, see its growth, that can be you if you want.

Y: You have all the power within you, so use it.

O: One tiny step each day is all it takes to reach your goal – and you will notice that your steps keep getting bigger. On your path as you grow impossible melts into possible!

U: Use what you have to best effect. Use the multiplier effect by nurturing and cultivating what you have. Unleash all the power of growth within you.

PARTING BLESSING SUSAN MCKENZIE. An oak tree shaped a whole nation and has been the rallying point ever since.

SYMBOL OF NATURE: SYMBOL OF HUMAN SPIRIT
The symbol of the oak is very important in British culture and history because King Charles II hid in an oak tree to escape the Puritan forces in the 17th century.

SAVIOUR OF A KING
An oak tree saved a King.  The King spent all day hiding in an oak tree. This was at a time when Catholics were not allowed to travel more than five miles away from their home – can you imagine that?

BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE
There was a great blessing in disguise or silver lining because the King had to rely on his own wits to avoid capture. For six weeks he experienced ordinary life and learned to appreciate all people, rich and poor.

OAK APPLE DAY
For about two hundred years afterwards, people in Britain celebrated Oak Apple Day as a public holiday in remembrance of the great escape. Still in various places throughout the country, Oak Apple Day is still remembered, and there are pubs (bars) named after The Royal Oak. (Source: Susan McKenzie and Wikipedia).

SHINING BLESSING FROM TAYYIBA IRAM: Shine my friends: all power is within you. Unleash it!
